The initial idea behind Armadillo evolved from creating a chair for people who love to read. I wanted it to be designed in an open-spaced style, after noticing people rarely sit in an upright position while reading. We enjoy changing positions, curling up in a ball, or slouching. Armadillo offers the freedom of sitting is whatever way the user wishes, creating an inviting reading experience.
Much thought was put into how the chair would be manufactured and assembled in the most economical way. Parts would be cut out of plywood sheets with the aid of a CNC machine, an accurate and fast process that produces minimal waste. Once cut out, parts will be flat packed for transport and pick-up for buyers. Assembly would be a simple process of slotting all parts together without the need of adhesives or excessive screws, bolts etc
